Maine Coast Catering strives to be a catering company for all “tastes.” We are local people with generations of local ties. We know the best sources for seasonal ingredients and work with our farmers and fisherman to provide quality Maine ingredients to our clientele. Our Chefs and staff are dedicated and passionate individuals who have spent years perfecting their craft. Maine Coast Catering prides itself on individual service and inspired food, food that fits your needs and exceeds your expectations. We offer many catering options, from the simple drop-off party to a full service wedding or corporate event. Maine Coast Catering enjoys working with every client, large and small, and “catering” to their individual needs.

A Few Words About Menu Planning....
There are a few major concerns when beginning to plan your event menu. The first and most important one is the site of the event and how it works with the food choices you have made. This is the essential ingredient to success in a catered event. Some possible event locations have kitchens, some don’t, some locations have power sources, some don’t and some locations are exposed to the elements and some are not. Our chefs are experts at designing menus to fit event locations so that the menu functions well and brings out the best in the space. We will guide you through this process to insure that your event will meet your expectations as well as our own.

Maine Coast Catering Quotes
Our event quotes differ in some ways than other caterers, These are important things to note when comparing different catering companies to one another. First and most importantly our events include all labor, including service staff. We do not add the normal 18% gratuity to the total of your bill. The price per person we quote for your event will include all of your event needs that Maine Coast Catering will be responsible for. The only cost added to the bill after the price per person is the Maine State Sales Tax of 7%.

Deposit and Guarantee Policy
Maine Coast Catering would like to thank you for considering our services for your event. Our policies are gathered from industry standards and have been tailored to insure that the customer and the caterer have a smooth relationship from the first phone call to the last.
Our estimates and consultations for your events are provided free of charge. We will meet with you or your event planner for one free consultation and then provide a written estimate for the event. After the estimate is reviewed if you wish to enlist our services we require a deposit of 10% of the estimated costs of the event. The deposit is 100% refundable until 30 days prior to the event, after that day the deposit is credited to your account and the outstanding balance will be billed so that payment can be made. Payment in full is required three (3) business days prior to your scheduled event unless other arrangements have been made.
The Guarantee is the minimum number of meals to be provided and charged for the event. Guarantees are required thirty (30) business days prior to the scheduled event and will reflect the final payment in full. If no guarantee is provided, the original estimate or the actual number served, whichever is greater, will be the number for which you will be charged.
Hors d’oeuvres
Hors d’oeuvres- Maine Coast Catering prepares all of our hors d’oeuvre selections from scratch using fresh, and whenever possible, local ingredients. We also produce many of our own seasonal herbs and garnishes in our kitchen garden.

Maine Coast Catering creates some of our desserts in house but we are not a bakery, we use a local award winning scratch bakery to produce most of our specialty desserts and pastries to our specifications. This means we can offer many more choices to you without sacrificing quality. Maine Coast Catering can create custom theme menus for your events and we also offer a few of are own. Action Stations are chef staffed stations that bring excitement to the party as well as helping to break up buffet lines to create a more casual feel.
